Our first race at the infamous Westonzoyland track and the weather was perfect – not to warm, with little to no breeze. The scruitineers began their duties at an unholy hour, and racing started on time. We had a good entry of around 70 bikes, and a good turn out of spectators too following the changes in introducing a small charge. Several PBs were taken and several track records were broken. Rumours indicate that the track on the right hand side was grippier than a grippy thing on a grippy day.
On Sunday, the rain began to pour at about 3:30am and it did not want to stop. It did ease off as the day drew on, but by 1pm it was clear that they track would not dry out enough to make it feasible so the day was called.
I am delighted to be able to share with you the results already, please head to the results page to see how everyone did. Our huge thanks to everyone that made this meeting possible and took on roles and responsibilities at the track to keep everyone safe.
