The NSA will be timing a new event at Manston in Kent. The format is an old style speed trial, timed over a 1/4 mile with a 200yd run in. The competition is open to all classes of motorcycle and is run under NORA 92 sprint regulations. Dates are the 28th, 29th and 30th of June and entries are through the Flying Quarter website. Racing takes place on all 3 days for bikes and cars with a weekend entry. Competitors can arrive on site Thursday afternoon for signing on and Technical inspection. Day and 2 day entries are available, with signing on and inspection available each day. The NSA is running the track and motorcycle technical inspection only and this is not an NSA event. The pits etc will be Marshalled by Flying Quarter event staff. The intention is to test the format with a major 3 day event scheduled for the 6th, 7th and 8th September. This is a big opportunity for us and will lead to NSA events at Manston next year.
It has been a huge amount of work for myself and Dave from the initial contact to this stage and we have a good relationship with the organisers.
